The Sowers

This painting is part of the Visions of Peace series, issued as a stamp by the United Nations in 2007. The Sowers dance around our fertile planet, seeding and simultaneously reaping. The figures and trees form two interlocking triangles pointing in opposite directions to suggest a healthy exchange between man and his many neighbors including the rocks and the vegetation which sustain us, as well as the birds of the air.
