Aquarius is the astrological sign traditionally depicted as a water carrier, shown here as the vessel through which new life travels from the sun. Aquarius is an air sign and the birds are creatures of the air whose movement is full of life. Like a drawing in the night sky, the star formation called Aquarius runs along the figure’s right leg.
